I am Madisson Baron-Galbavi, you can call me Madde.
WHERE I STARTED
I grew up in Monroe, Michigan attending a Montessori school where the arts were an integral part of my education. When I graduated high school and went off to Adrian College, I decided to study sports medicine. Since I was a competitive gymnast for 13 years, basketball player, track and cross country runner and on the inaugural acrobatics and tumbling team for Adrian college, dealing with injuries was second nature to me.
However, throughout my freshman year I wasn't feeling fulfilled and always felt like something was missing from my education. It was art, making, and capturing moments. I then transferred to the University of Dayton where I majored in graphic design and double minored in art history and photography.
Throughout the summers in college, I had internships related to the field. I travelled and lived in new cities, gained new skills from the teams around me and contributed my hard work and time management skills to make the most of the opportunities. A few of my favorite positions were being a graphic designer for Live 5 News in Charleston, South Carolina where I created crawlers for the bottom of the TV screen, helped shoot for social videos and edited video for social media. My other favorite position was the pre-press graphics internship in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where I designed and prepared graphics for print production. Through these positions I gained a lot of experience with both digital and print production, I still carry those skills today.
WHERE I AM NOW
Today I would describe myself as a problem solver, a life long learner and a
team player. One thing I love about being a designer is I am always questioning processes and solutions for a design. We, as designers, are ultimately handed a problem and through typography, color and hierarchy we are able to create a solution. I love working with other people and collaborating with people to create something bigger than ourselves. During my last 5 years of designing I have worked with a diversity of clients that push me to learn about new subjects and find solutions that work for them and with them. I currently focus the majority of my time on website development and design, branding and rebranding, a handful of videography work and designing many digital campaigns.

WHAT I DO WHEN I'M NOT DESIGNING
When I am not designing, you can find me hiking somewhere in the woods or on
a mountain top with my two pitbull pups and my partner. I might be in the climbing gym or being suspended in the air in my acroyoga class. But most likely, you'll find me snacking at a local restaurant, taking in all the flavors or photographing my surroundings.
