Dayton Society of Artists
The Dayton Society of Artists have been present in the Dayton community since 1938. Overtime, the logo has evolved along with the name, The Dayton Society of Painters and Sculptors (DSPS) became Dayton Society of Artists (DSA) to allow for the inclusion of artists of different mediums. In 2017, DSA was in need of an updated logo to allow for more inclusivity towards those additional mediums they now represent. The inspiration for the new logo was connectivity, overlapping mediums, questioning what it means to be an artist along with respecting the antiquity of the space and the presence of Dayton Society of Artists for long term members.
